Peace and Culture Evening

Last Saturday night here at the Ecole was one to remember. Peace and Justice put on a wonderful Peace and Culture evening. It was night that gave people who do not usually like being on stage the opportunity to share their talent or anything from their culture. It was a small stage at the bottom of Geheeb Haus and everyone brought pillows and blankets and sat together in a very peaceful environment.

There were salsa performances, songs played on the guitar from all over the world, poems read, and we were even taught how to sing the Canadian National Anthem. It was a fun evening full of a lot of love and support for fellow Ecolianers. For me and many of my classmates, these nights are important. This is just one of things that helps transform us into strong young people ready to take on the world once we graduate.
